Bought these two fat quarter blocks a while back but haven't thought much about what I would do with them. I was googling quilts last night and saw one I loved. http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/1140236022047444637FXGGtg
I got some squared paper and drew out a pattern, using the seven colours from my fat quarter packs. Just need to work out the measurements etc- I think I want the small squares to be 4" before I sew them together.
I'm looking forward to getting it started although I have a few UFOs to work on first- a couple need finished off and binded before I start anything new.

Some of my quilts
This was the 1st quilt I made at my evening class. It was from a jelly roll and I'm very proud of it!
This is made using the same pattern as the first quilt but I bought cotton and cut thinner strips. I gave it to my cousin as a present for her new baby.
Two little christmas projects for my mummy.
Third quilt- another baby quilt for a friend. After this one I decided to try some other patterns!! Will get some pictures of my recent quilts up soon. However, I gave some away as presents before I took a picture so kicking myself now as I have no record of them. Boohoo
1st Blog
Hi- This is a small project I worked on over the weekend- a coffee cup holder for me and my sister's weekend coffees!! Have seen a few of these elsewhere on the web-got this free pattern from http://houseonhillroad.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/01/a-new-years-gif.html?cid=144202868
Thank you Erin for posting this pattern & instructions!
It was so simple to make- give it a try!
